Upon the new brand launch, our team was tasked with crafting a foundational storytelling illustration library for J&J employees and their design agency partners to be able to quickly start leveraging the new illustration style.
As an agency partner, our cross-functional team not only built a foundational illustration library, but continue to help develop the motion guidance and expand the library to reflect Johnson & Johnson’s inclusive values. This includes reflecting the diverse world we live and operate in across all the figures in our storytelling illustrations—making sure to represent a cross section of ethnicities, genders, ages, disabilities, professional roles and more.

Storytelling illustrations are a supporting yet essential part of the Johnson & Johnson brand expression. They allow us to visualize complex ideas in a simple, clear and inclusive way. Storytelling illustrations also help diverse audiences navigate content more intuitively—making J&J’s communication more accessible.
